Ethical thinking underlies all approaches to medical practice and, as medical specialists, child and adolescent psychiatrists frequently encounter ethical dilemmas. Not uncommonly, these physicians experience uncertainty concerning appropriate venues for guidance in addressing these problems. Attendees address several ethical dilemmas in the course of the breakfast, engage in communal discussion, learn to appreciate the role of ethical reasoning in a process designed to arrive at resolutions, and acquire knowledge of new and additional resources to address future ethical challenges.
