As AACAP has become increasingly involved with the National Center for School Mental Health, the role of the child psychiatrist in schools has become an increasingly important topic nationwide. Furthermore, the AACAP is being asked to partner with other national organizations to set standards for the use of psychotropic medications in schools. Attendees have the opportunity to learn current information on topics of importance to school consultants and receive practical advice for the different types of school consultation.
