Workshop 33 (sold out)
Novel Treatments for Adolescent Eating Disorders: Family-Based Treatment for Bulimia Nervosa and Developmentally Focused Psychotherapy for Anorexia Nervosa

The purpose of this Workshop is to introduce two novel treatments to clinicians and researchers: Family-Based Treatment for adolescent bulimia nervosa and Developmentally Focused Psychotherapy for adolescent anorexia nervosa. By comparing and contrasting these two treatments and their clinical application, participants learn different strategies for conceptualizing, formulating, and treating adolescents with eating disorders. Both of these treatments have been studied in randomized clinical trials and represent treatments for which there is preliminary evidence of effectiveness.
