The purpose of this Workshop is to introduce two novel treatments to clinicians and researchers: Family-Based Treatment for adolescent bulimia nervosa and Developmentally Focused Psychotherapy for adolescent anorexia nervosa. By comparing and contrasting these two treatments and their clinical application, participants learn different strategies for conceptualizing, formulating, and treating adolescents with eating disorders. Both of these treatments have been studied in randomized clinical trials and represent treatments for which there is preliminary evidence of effectiveness.
