This Workshop is designed to provide initial training in the model of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) used in the Treatment for Adolescents with Depression Study (TADS), including its theory and components, for clinicians who work with a variety of types of depressed adolescents. Drs. Curry and Wells are the lead authors of the TADS CBT manuals for individual adolescent sessions and for parent and conjoint sessions, and led the CBT treatment provider group in TADS. They briefly provide the theoretical background of the treatment, and then teach participants how to conduct examples of individual, parent, and conjoint sessions.
