Working with the media enables child and adolescent psychiatrists to extend their reach and educate a broad audience about pediatric mental illnesses. This Member Services Forum seeks to raise attendees’ comfort levels through instruction on crafting messages, cultivating relationships with journalists, and interviewing successfully. Attendees become more active in working with the news media to educate families about mental illnesses, erase stigma associated with mental illnesses, and improve public perception of child and adolescent psychiatrists.
