The current treatment parameters of the AACAP require a high level of skill in assessment and treatment of patients within their families. This Workshop presents the rationale and applicability of Integrated Module-Based Family Therapy (IMBFT) to psychiatric practice and training, teaches participants how to apply the IMBFT model in their clinical practice, and trains participants to use IMBFT within their training setting. The presenters provide a detailed presentation of the model and provide opportunity for questions and discussion. This includes a presentation and discussion of the common factors in family therapy and the latest evidence-based approaches to family work. Film segments from clinical hours and live therapy training sessions, including reflection team work, are presented. A useful three page assessment template is provided and discussed. Participants are guided through the assessment and intervention planning process in an interactive fashion.
