This Workshop focuses on identifying grief reactions and its intensity in parents of children with mental illness, and understanding how the experience of grief limits the families in their relationship to the treating clinician, the treatment, and with their own child diagnosed with mental illness. Grief reactions and its intensity in families must be anticipated by the primary care physician, psychiatrist, and mental health clinicians diagnosing and treating mental illness in children.
