The objective of this Workshop is to describe two initiatives designed to improve the early identification of mental illness in youth, and to describe current policy efforts focused on including mental health checkups in the national health care reform movement. Attendees learn about how these early identification initiatives function and ways that they can become involved. The program also focuses on related policy efforts and provides techniques that doctors can use to advocate for early identification.
