The practice parameters, published each year by the AACAP, represent the collected wisdom, research and clinical practice in child and adolescent psychiatry. The Practice Parameter Member Forum is an opportunity to express your views and provide critical feedback to the Work Group on Quality Issues as it prepares the new parameters for publication. Your comments are VERY important!

This year, the Forum features the following parameter drafts:

-Practice Parameter on Gay, Lesbian or Bisexual Sexual Orientation, Gender-Nonconformity, and Gender Discordance in Children and Adolescents

-Practice Parameter on Disaster-Preparedness

The drafts are available for your review beginning in September, by accessing the “Members Only” section of www.aacap.org, and at the Annual Meeting at the Member Forum, the Karl Menninger, M.D. Plenary, and other select sessions.
