Healthy Living, Healthy Minds: A Toolkit for Health Professionals provides information and resources to health professionals that can aid in supporting children and youth with mental health challenges as they develop healthy living habits. Acknowledging that many health professionals have limited time to discuss healthy living with their patients, this toolkit provides a time-sensitive approach to having this discussion. It contains assessment tools and key messages for families and tools to help define attainable goals. There are handouts that can be photocopied and given to patients during an office visit. Participants learn how the toolkit was developed and utilize the toolkit through case scenarios where they apply the key messages and learn tips for using it in everyday clinical practice.
