The trainees entering child and adolescent psychiatry programs today are defined as millennial learners. These learners require active engagement in the educational process. This shift in the learning paradigm requires teachers to be facilitators of learning where the trainee is responsible for facilitating their own learning. The Workshop emphasizes the importance of aligning assessments with learning. Participants in the Workshop gain an understanding of the core principles of educational practice to support millennial learning and acquire a tool chest of active education strategies than can be incorporated into their training programs.
