In this Clinical Case Conference, the AACAP Psychotherapy, Family, and Ethics Committees create a forum for examining the ethical and therapeutic issues that surround complex clinical presentations that require consultation with multidimensional experts. Attendees learn how to approach cases with complex, competing agendas; the principles for assessing child or adolescent patients from psychodynamic, family systems, medico-legal, and ethical perspectives; and strategies for integrating varied perspectives and developing treatment plans that address major domains affecting outcome.
