This Media Theater is comprised of clips from videotaped interviews with Robert Coles, M.D., a remarkable child and adolescent psychiatrist, professor of Social Ethics at Harvard University, and Pulitzer Prize winning author. Attendees receive glimpses into Dr. Coles’ personal story, which includes involvement in major issues of his era, such as school desegregation; voting rights for African-Americans in the south; poverty in Appalachia; the lives of Native Americans in the southwest; and the life challenges of the well-to-do. Also discussed is his is devotion to the education of ethics and moral values as experienced in a variety of social and community settings. Presenters and audience members discuss the impact Dr. Coles had on their lives and careers.
