Judith A. Cohen, M.D., is medical director of Allegheny General Hospital's Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents; Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine; a member of the Editorial Board of JAACAP, and co-chair of AACAP's Child Maltreatment and Violence Committee. She is co-developer of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT, www.musc.edu/tfcbt), an evidence-based treatment for traumatized children and their parents, described in the books Treating Trauma and Traumatic Grief in Children and Adolescents and Trauma-Focused CBT for Children and Adolescents: Treatment Applications.
