Additional applicant information: I am an early career psychiatrist based in Nigeria with a strong passion for the upliftment of child and adolescent mental health. This passion has been an impetus for my research and clinical work since the commencement of my residency training in Psychiatry Despite the constraints of practise in a resource-poor country, the zeal to equip myself with cutting edge information to enable me serve children motivated my joining AACAP membership about 3 years ago. I have presented about 20 papers in international conferences over the past 3 years, including one at the 59th Annual AACAP meeting in San Francisco. The latter was made possible through the CFAK Scholar Award I benefited from. I look forward to being a beneficiary of a scholarship this year as well to facilitate my trip to the 60th Annual meeting in Florida. Having tasted the richness of AACAP Annual meeting last year,where I was the only Nigerian-based Psychiatrist, I cannot afford to miss this year's meeting. Below is part of my curriculum Vitae.
