Electroconvulsive Therapy for Children and Adolescents
Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) in the pediatric community is a safe and efficacious procedure for multiple indications. Topics covered in this Workshop include the history of ECT usage, guidelines for patient selection, risks and benefits, issues of consent, and the fundamentals of the ECT procedure. Participants leave better prepared to recommend this treatment modality when necessary, and provide appropriate longitudinal care of referred patients.
