Making It Work: Building a Collaborative, Multidisciplinary Team on a Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit within a Medical Home Model
This Workshop provides child and adolescent psychiatrists detailed information about the multidisciplinary team approach to inpatient psychiatric treatment; the rationale supporting such a collaborative perspective; the clinical and administrative indications for the establishment of this type of team; and the practical and logistical means by which to build and incorporate a functional method for operating the multidisciplinary team. Topics of discussion include: identifying clinical and administrative needs, potential challenges to implementation, electronic medical records, and evaluating success.
