Workshop 22 (ticket)
Learning About Bullying and Other Forms of Maltreatment in Graduate Medical Education
There is an evolving understanding that bullying is a multifaceted form of maltreatment associated with other forms of maltreatment and significantly linked to a wide array of physical and mental health problems. It is incumbent on child and adolescent psychiatrists to be at the forefront of public health efforts, nationally and internationally, to prevent, detect, and treat the significant morbidity associated with this form of victimization. This Workshop provides the information necessary to develop and implement a curriculum to train child and adolescent psychiatrists so they acquire a full understanding of bullying and other forms of maltreatment.
