Member Services Forum 10 (open to all AACAP members)
Mock Trial: Lessons for Psychiatrists From the Bar and Risk Management
It is daunting to become a defendant in a lawsuit. This Member Services Forum explores the liability issues child and adolescent psychiatrists face and examines the legal procedural process should one become a defendant in a lawsuit. A mock deposition and trial are employed, including examination and cross-examination of witnesses. Participants have the opportunity to examine mock documentation that may impact the case. Receive information on how a lawsuit comes to fruition and how to avoid pitfalls if ever faced with a lawsuit.
