Special Interest Study Group 9 (sold out)
a Guide to Teaching Pediatricians

This presentation will serve to provide interested child psychiatrists with a framework for a pediatric teaching curriculum, and help to promote and identify guidelines for a teaching syllabus and format which is relevant and directly helpful to primary care clinical practice. Although child psychiatrists are best suited to train pediatricians in these areas, they do not always feel well-trained for teaching to a primary care audience. Attendees learn about a framework for a pediatric teaching curriculum, and help to promote and identify guidelines for a teaching syllabus and format which is relevant and directly helpful to primary care clinical practice. Participants expand their knowledge and comfort in teaching pediatricians and in keeping with the mission of AACAP to promote collaboration and understanding of children's mental health care needs, help guide and support pediatricians as additional providers of behavioral health care.
