Problem-Based Learning in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Problem-based learning in child and adolescent psychiatry is a general educational strategy rather than merely a teaching approach. One of the focuses of this session is  on the differentiation between problem-based learning and the “traditional” subject-centered approaches in terms of curricula organization, learning environment, and outcomes. It also aims to explore techniques for evaluation of problem-based learning, and to discuss students’ participation in the development of problem-based learning curriculum.  Difficulties of the system are explored.
