ADHD: Neuroimaging, Psychopharmacology, and Comorbidity

The last five years have seen major developments in the neuroimaging and treatment of ADHD. At the end of this Institute, the participant has a better understanding of the multiple brain regions involved in ADHD and how they relate to behavior, understands the results of the long term follow up studies of children with ADHD, can discuss the effects of stimulants on growth and the cardiovascular system, can discuss the clinical use of new medications in the treatment of ADHD, and improves their ability to diagnose and treat problems of aggression, mood disorders, and depression in children with ADHD. Awareness of recent neuroimaging and clinical trials data, combined with discussion from experienced clinicians, informs and enhances the clinical practice of participants.
