Knowing when to refer a child or adolescent with learning or behavioral problems for neuropsychological testing, and knowing how to interpret the test data, is important to the child and adolescent psychiatrist formulating a comprehensive, realistic treatment plan. This Workshop provides child and adolescent psychiatrists an overview of neuropsychological assessment, enabling them to interpret and utilize neuropsychological data to develop realistic and comprehensive treatment plans to meet the specific academic and emotional needs of their patients, as well as a treatment plan teachers can readily implement in the classroom. Presenters underscore the clinical relevance of neuropsychological assessment and demonstrate how to interpret test data.
