This Workshop uses active discussion of short video examples of two children growing up from infancy through adolescence in the context of family and community. Participants achieve a better basic understanding of major developmental theories, bringing theoretical concepts to life. Cognitive development, moral development, attachment, separation-individuation, psychosocial development, psychosexual development, parenting, and other theories are reviewed in an interactive presentation, including recent findings. Video examples from a longitudinal stimulus video resource for educators are used as a stimulus for discussion of how such video can be used in education, and educators learn how to improve teaching through use of stimulus video.
