Rather than following a preconceived agenda, this session takes on the needs, wishes, and interests of the participants. One objective is for attendees to recognize the variety of valuable resources that exist for promoting child development. Also, the SIG aims to increase the skills needed to deal with professionals who assist children; and to provide information that can assist parents in gaining support and information about their child’s disability and how to handle them within the family.
