The purpose of this Media Theatre is to introduce a bilingual (English and Spanish) multimedia kit developed by Sesame Workshop to help military and civilian families with young children better cope with the death of a parent. Data is presented supporting the use of this multimedia kit with bereaved children and their families. Grief reactions of bereaved children and their caregivers are described and uses of the media kit are discussed. The use of multimedia materials with young children and their caregivers to help with other complex and emotionally painful topics is discussed.
