Challenges facing pediatric consultation-liaison psychiatry (PCLP) include unpredictable services, competing demands, and a sense of isolation. This program discussed these challenges and moves toward development of a network for sharing expertise in clinical care, research, administration, and teaching. Participants reflect on challenges in the field of PCLP and discuss innovations developed to meet these challenges. The advantages of developing a collaborative network of colleagues are outlined.
