The Management of Pediatric Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures from Diagnosis to Recovery

Pediatric Non-Epileptic Seizures (NES) is a challenging clinical dilemma due to the diagnostic difficulties involved and the lack of standardized treatment guidelines. This Workshop provides information on diagnosis and practical clinical strategies for the management of youth with NES and their families. Specific clinical techniques for the initial and long-term management are illustrated using case examples of individual and family therapy. The most common challenges of NES care, and how to effectively resolve them, are discussed. Participants gain the knowledge and clinical skills necessary for effective, multidisciplinary NES management.
