Workshop 25 (ticket)
The Unified Protocol for the Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Adolescence: A Transdiagnostic Approach to Anxiety and Depression
This Workshop provides a rationale for the treatment of emotional disorders in children and adolescents using emotion-focused, transdiagnostic treatments, such as the Unified Protocol for the Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Adolescence (UP-A). Participants review evidence of efficacy of UP-A in addressing symptoms and maladaptive behaviors, and are introduced to the principle-based, flexible structure of UP-A. They learn the advantages of using transdiagnostic, emotion-focused interventions instead of disorder- or domain-specific interventions.
