Workshop 9 (ticket)
Individualizing Treatments for Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Attendees at this Workshop gain an understanding of the evidence-base with respect to assessment and treatment of core Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) symptoms, as well as psychiatric symptoms that are commonly present in ASD youth. Several toolkits are presented, which are available for clinical providers and parents of ASD youth. These kits provide guidance with respect to clinical decision-making. Practical strategies are introduced for adapting clinical standards of care to treat a variety of common psychiatric symptoms in the ASD population. These strategies are immediately applicable to their clinical practice.
