Workshop 4 (ticket)
Research Workshop on Complementary and Alternative Medicine: National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Funding and Training Opportunities

This Workshop provides an overview of the mission, vision, and current training and career development programs at the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) interventions are often incorporated into integrative medical practices located in conventional care settings, and data from national surveys suggest that CAM is most often used as a complement or adjunct to conventional medical care. Attendees receive information on research priorities set forth by NCCAM, with regard to children and adolescents; the types of research grants for which clinicians may apply; and the appropriate personnel to contact at NCCAM.
