Workshop 7 (sold out)
Doing Cognitive Therapy with Youth

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is currently seen as a first line treatment for a variety of disorders including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PTSD, eating disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, and disruptive behavioral disorders. This Workshop demonstrates how to adapt evidence-based CBT to difficult circumstances. Attendees increase their appreciation of case conceptualization in shaping the delivery of robust modular CBT; acquire an advanced level of understanding of basic CBT with youth; and become familiar with creative modifications of traditional practices. Participants recognize ways CBT can be applied in very raw clinical circumstances with challenging young patients.
