Workshop 37 (ticket)
Submitting, Reviewing, and Getting Published: A Practical Approach
Getting published in the child and adolescent psychiatry literature is daunting for many would-be authors. This Workshop increases participants’ confidence to write scientific articles, explains journal processes, discusses ethical issues in publishing, and provides information on how to improve the likelihood of having their work published. Attendees learn ways to approach an editor’s request for revision and how to deal constructively with a manuscript rejection. In addition, a description of the characteristics of an effective manuscript peer reviewer provides guidance on how to become involved as a reviewer and produce high-quality critiques; or write book reviews.
