Perspectives Meets TED Talks: (Clinical) Ideas Worth Spreading
This TED Talk-style session is co-moderated by JAACAP Editor-in-Chief Andrés Martin, MD, MPH, and Assistant Editor for Clinical Perspectives Laura M. Prager, MD. The session starts with a 5-minute introduction providing the background, context, and “ground rules” for an effective TED Talk (including adherence to tight time limits and minimalistic use of audio-visual supports). The authors of 5 recently published Clinical Perspectives then each present a 15-minute “TED Talk” of their respective articles. Each presentation is followed by 4 minutes of interactive and moderated discussion. There is one minute between speakers, allowing for a brief introduction. The session ends with overarching concluding remarks and an invitation for new submissions.
