Building a Community of Telepsychiatrists in AACAP

This SIG is intended for AACAP members already practicing telepsychiatry. It provides an opportunity to meet with members of the AACAP Telepsychiatry Committee and share experiences and challenging problems encountered when providing telepsychiatric care and to generate ideas for improvement and expansion of telemedicine. Committee members with expertise across a broad spectrum of venues and situations discuss topics that include psychotherapy, early detection of developmental delays, health services in schools, cultural competence, and psychogenomics. Attendees have the opportunity to build a community of telepsychiatrists to foster collaborative support and to promote delivering evidence-based and competent care through telemedicine.
