Member Services Forum 3 (open to all AACAP members)
Developing a Toolkit for ROCAPs to Meet the Needs of Women Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists
Although women now account for over half of all medical school slots, women continue to experience challenges in terms of negotiating for appropriate pay and benefits, obtaining a reasonable work/life balance, and attaining leadership positions in their field. Regional organizations of child and adolescent psychiatry have the unique opportunity to support the needs of women child and adolescent psychiatrists. Career opportunities, strategies for successful contract negotiations, and work/life balance are topics of discussion. This Forum assists regional organization to design programs/activities and provides a toolkit of materials for this purpose.
