Pediatric Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Collaborative: Behavioral Health in the Pediatric Clinic: Case-Conferencing With Child Psychiatry
This interactive program pairs child and adolescent psychiatrists with primary care practitioners to provide guidance about the management of behavioral health concerns seen in clinical practice, such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorders.
Participants discuss what to do and how to do it: recognizing at-risk kids/families; formulating intervention plans; setting up consultative/collaborative supports; knowing how and when to prescribe (or not); knowing when and where to refer; monitoring treatment response; and managing risk. Programming includes a combination of presentations, case-driven small group discussion, and expert commentary from local child and adolescent psychiatrists.
