Member Services Forum 5 (open to all AACAP members)
Building a National Institutes of Health Research Career and Understanding Grant Priorities
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) present successful grant submission strategies for new and experienced investigators. There is a special emphasis on grant writing, the grant review process, and research mechanisms for early investigators; however, mid-career, and senior investigators also benefit from updates on current research opportunities, priorities, and policy updates at the National Institutes of Health. Successful researchers describe their career path, including challenges and strategies for success. Participants have the opportunity to interact with program staff and senior researchers in small groups for individualized feedback on grant writing and obtaining grant funding.
