Prevention of the Use of Restraint and Seclusion
This SIG provides a forum for review of recent and upcoming changes in philosophy and practice regarding the prevention of the use of restraint and seclusion in child and adolescent treatment settings. Participants learn an approach to creating a restraint prevention initiative and discuss strategies to prevent the use of restraint and seclusion in various clinical settings. Colleagues have the opportunity to collaborate on common efforts, share successes, and discuss strategies for overcoming barriers.
