Clinical Consultation Breakfast 14 (sold out)
Ethical Issues in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
It is often difficult to find an appropriate venue in which to address ethical issues child and adolescent psychiatrists encounter. This CCB provides an opportunity to discuss ethical dilemmas facing child and adolescent psychiatrist in clinical, administrative, consultative, research, and instructional settings. Ethical questions and problems are discussed in a case-study format. Be prepared to share a vignette describing an ethical matter you are engaged in or have encountered in practice or scholarship. Attendees are encouraged to provide a written description of the ethical dilemma for future educational purposes. Available resources and the function of the AACAP Ethics Committee are described; and an informal consultation with a member of the Committee is available.
