ADHD and Law Enforcement

This Workshop presents a training curriculum developed by police officers in the United Kingdom, in partnership with child and adolescent psychiatrists in the United States, with the goal of improving the social outcomes for youth with ADHD by providing training to those who may affect the criminal risk trajectory of these youth. Child and adolescent psychiatrist explore the role they can play beyond the clinical setting to improve social outcomes for youth with ADHD; learn to access and use free resources, including internet-based tool kits and smart phone applications; and increase their motivation to work in the juvenile justice arena to advocate for system changes.
