The Autism Life Care Model: Improving Outcomes for Adolescents With Autism Spectrum Disorder

This Workshop demonstrates concrete steps towards improving systems of care for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as they navigate the transition to adulthood. A more thorough and across settings assessment should allow for earlier detection of potential challenges and minimize their impact. Participants gain confidence in working with ASD adolescents and acquire the necessary tools to conduct multi-domain assessments. The six critical domains when assessing adolescents with ASD are covered and the tools to assess these critical domains are presented. How to effectively use the data collaboratively with other providers to guide treatment decisions is discussed.
