Workshop 25 (sold out)
The Use of Clozapine in Children and Adolescents for Treatment-Resistant Psychosis and Mood Disorders
Clozapine remains the gold standard for the treatment of refractory schizophrenic, schizoaffective disorder, and mood disorder in patients with psychosis and severe aggression, both in the adult and the child and adolescent patient population. This Workshop shares clinical and research findings that show the potential use of Clozapine, as well as augmentation strategies, in inpatient, residential, day hospital, or outpatient settings. Attendees become more comfortable with the use of Clozapine in children and adolescents, have a greater understanding of the management of the side effects of Clozapine, and become more familiar with strategies for augmentation of Clozapine when it is partially effective.
