Clinical Consultation Breakfast 17 (ticket)
Religion and Spirituality in Clinical Practice

Religion and spirituality are clinically valid, important, and helpful areas for child and adolescent psychiatrists to address in their assessment of and clinical work with children, adolescents, and their families. Clinicians must recognize the significant roles, contributions, and, at times, conflicts religion and spirituality play in the evaluation and treatment of children and families. This CCB raises awareness of the importance of religion and spirituality in normal development, family life, and cultural environment; and fosters discussion of this area of clinical practice. Clinicians can benefit greatly from increased familiarity with available resources, assessment techniques, and treatment strategies.
