Special Interest Study Group 8 (ticket)
Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
This SIG strives to develop a network of colleagues in the field of Pediatric Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (PCLP). Participants have the opportunity to reflect on challenges they face with PCLP, and discuss innovations and potential areas for collaboration. Participants choose a discussion group in one of the five focus areas: clinical care, administration, collaboration with primary care, research, or education. Group facilitators record and synthesize the discussions; and the results are shared with the larger group for comment. A small sample of past discussion topics includes workload, stigma, ambiguity in consult requests, funding, short staffing, stakeholders, supervision, mentorship, research relationships, mental health carve-outs, and telepsychiatry.
