Community-Based Systems of Care
Despite the increasing involvement of child and adolescent psychiatrists in community-based systems of care, there are few opportunities for them to exchange information, share lessons learned, discuss their role within systems of care, and problem solve regarding barriers to quality care. This SIG provides that opportunity. Topics include: recent trends and directions in systems of care, such as application of systems of care approaches to infants and young children; the integration of mental health services in schools; what is happening in child welfare and juvenile justice systems; child psychiatry consultation programs to pediatricians; psychotropic medication monitoring programs; updates on evidence-based interventions; and innovative funding strategies.
