Education and Training of Professionals and Families in Mexico About ADHD: A Model for International Cooperation
Increased education, awareness, and involvement of parents promote understanding and state of the art treatment of children and adolescents with ADHD in Mexico. Participants in this SIG identify and discuss challenges to providing training and education to professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents about ADHD in underdeveloped countries. The ADHD competency model ProiyectoDAH is presented; and the philosophical principles, organization, and training accomplishments of ProiyectoDAH in Mexico, and its close cooperation with international experts and institutions are explored.
