Exploring the Role of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists in Public Health and Relief Organization
Public health promotion and prevention programs can address vulnerability and help prevent the expression of mental illness and minimize its severity when it occurs. Participants discuss the potential roles of child and adolescent psychiatrists in public health and relief organizations and learn the benefits of a working relationship, as well as the challenges inherent in implementing universal child mental health interventions in low resource communities. Technology now offers opportunities for child and adolescent psychiatrists from different parts of the world to work together and share their unique culturally-based knowledge.
