Workshop 21 (ticket)
Family Therapy Treatment and Training Using the Integrative Module-Based Family Therapy Model

The ability to assess and treat patients within their families requires an understanding of family therapy. This Workshop presents the Integrative Module-Based Family Therapy Model (IMBFT), which was designed specifically for use in child and adolescent psychiatric practice and provides a useful framework for training child and adolescent psychiatry fellows. The IMBFT approach provides a guided “roadmap” to help clinicians identify the relevant domain(s) for intervention, select empirically supported or best practice approaches for improving the presenting problems, and evaluate the success of the intervention. Participants receive a three-page assessment tool and gain expertise in how to use it.
