Workshop 9 (ticket)
Electronic Medical Record Systems in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Practice: Selection of Technology and Getting Started
Participants enhance their practical knowledge and familiarity with contemporary electronic medical record (EMR) systems and the application of those systems within child and adolescent psychiatry practice. In an effort to assist participants in the selection of an EMR system, they are provided with an overview of features and differentiating characteristics of EMR systems and other health information technology, such as electronic prescribing, practice management technology, and patient portals. The relevance of various systems to specific practice needs is discussed. This overview will be followed by in-depth demonstrations and critical consumer reviews of two currently available EMR products.
